Coming Soon, Character DescriptionsI'm working on the backlog of character descriptions. I should have it done this weekend. Random Game I Like #36: Star Wars BattlefrontStar Wars Battlefront is a first person shooter in the style of Battlefield 1942. It's pretty cool, because you can be units including Gunguns, Storm Troopers, Rebel guys, clone-soldiers, those rolling robots from episode one, and even Wookies with bow-casters. It's really fun, and has a variety of single-player campaigns to choose from, as well as a bunch of multiplayer modes. I played it on the PC, but it's available on every console. Try it out. FloodCheck out this picture of the flooded Giant Eagle auditorium here at CMU. For those of you that don't know, that's about 4 feet of rain. Thanks Alan for putting that picture on your site! Random Political ComicsIn honor of the election year, I took my comics and made them political. Also it was the easiest update I've ever done. Woo! Check it out. Matt's Random (Political) Comics: Uncut and Uncensored! Flooded OutThe lecture hall where my computer engineering class was flooded from the record-breaking rain fall last Friday. Now, the class has been moved to the Mellon Institute, a convenient 15 minutes from where I am after my previous class. Good thing I have 10 minutes to get there! Seriously, it's going to be pretty weird as the class staggers in between on time and somewhere between 5 and 10 minutes late. Even weirder still, because every computer engineering sophomore has a course after that with all of the electrical engineering sophomores; half of the class will get there on time, and the other half will be equally late. Another Reason to be an Electrical and Computer EngineerMeet Dr. Megavolt ! Thanks for the link, Nate! Aagh!I'm too busy to make the next comic character description update. Maybe Friday? Why I Wanted to Be and Electrical and Computer Engineer
Random Comic UpdateI added a bunch of new characters and possibilites, and changed around some probabilites, so check it out.!
Random Game I Like #35: Arcanum of Steamworks and Magic ObscuraArcanum by Troika Games (you know, the Fallout guys) is one of the most unique fantasy RPGs in existence. It's set in a steampunk world which influences every aspect of the game. Character creation is especially changed, because instead of just being some type of magic user, or a thief, or a fighter, you can instead use technology to achieve the same goalss. This makes the game incredibly replayable. Despite it's clunky interface and non-noteworthy graphics, it's still definitely worth playing for the great story, gameplay, and atmosphere.
