Poem 2: Concrete Dreams

Poem 2: Concrete Dreams

Concrete Dreams

I look out the window
gaze at the horizon
the blue sky
the concrete moon

The window's outlook is greater than mine
gazing past my horizon
past my green staring eye
into my dreaming mind

My window is greater
than the horizon
when I stand looking through it
not when I sleep

I look out the window
gaze at the horizon
the blue stance
the concrete dream
