Correspondence With Dean Venture

A couple of days ago I sent the makers of my favorite Adult Swim show, Venture Brothers regarding who voiced He.L.P.E.R., the fumbling, neurotic helper robot. It says in the credits that it's Soul Bot, but, I have no idea who or what a Soul Bot is. Anyway, I got a form letter, back. It doesn't answer my question, but it is well written, so here it is.

On behalf of the fine folks that produce what is clearly your favorite show
? the awesome Jackson Publick and the mysterious Doc Hammer ? please accept
this acknowledgement that your recent missive was, in fact, received.

It was even read.

Some jokes flew back and forth? some randy, ribald comments, and maybe even
a few snickers.

Sadly, both Jackson and Doc are busy guys ? they?ve got a show to produce,
for cripes sake. Do you want the entire VENTURE BROS. enterprise to be
derailed because they took the time to respond to every single one of the
massive amounts of mail they receive? Do you want that on your conscience?
The knowledge that you were responsible for depriving millions ? nay,
BILLIONS ? of television viewers a lone bastion of quality on their
otherwise barren TV dial?

No man (or woman) should have to bear the burden.

So please accept this response as a mere token of the love and affection
that both Jackson and Doc feel for you, and you personally ? not any of
those other schmucks who write them. It?s all about you, baby.

Believe it.

And hey, tell all your friends about the show. And the website. If you do
this, you?ll earn a place in our hearts.
