The Cause of Water Conservation

The Cause of Water Conservation

Remember the commercial with the kid brushing his teeth, who leaves the water on? It played a lot when I was a kid (middle 80s early 90s). After he leaves the water on, through his window, you see a lake with a fish in it and the water drains away to nothing. Soon the fish is flopping around. Does anyone remember this?

I think this is the root of people's beliefs in a responsibility to conserve water. I'm not sure where this commercial came from, but almost everyone I know my age turns off the water after wetting their toothbrush. Most of them remember this commercial when I ask them about it. I think this commercial is directly responsible for this activity.

Edit 2 - Now with better grammar!

Comment I never heard of the song from Barney. Then again, I never watched Barney. And, what a shame, too, we could all use a couple lessons from a purple dinosaur.
