Fisching

I've been reading about Bobby Fischer this evening, and I am completely fascinated. Aside from being a chess god, he seems incredibly fanatical over his unorthodox beliefs. I'd like to be able to get into his head and really get his thoughts on the things he has believed in his life.

The article on Wikipedia is quite good.
His personal site is also revealing, although a bit unfiltered.

I like the bit where he complains that they won't allow him alcohol in prison, but they do give them cigarettes. But the bit about Jew-controlled America kinda offends my sense of... well if Jews controlled America why the fuck do we put up with rampant anti-semitism? I wish I controlled America.

The movie Searching for Bobby Fischer was filmed at my high school. The film club advisor never shut up about it. Good movie though, if you're into chess or really well shot films.
